BBC a Big Part of the the EU Propaganda Machine?

For years UKIP members have been cold shouldered by the BBC and until recently the BBC ignored stories that dared to criticise or hold the EU to account. Even now UKIP is held at arms length by the BBC despite coming second in the European elections once again throwing doubt over the impartiality of British media.

Indeed in 2007, Independent MEP Ashley Mote handed the police documents that showed the BBC was in cahoots with the EU, raising questions about its impartiality where EU issues were concerned. The papers detailed "tens of millions of euros received by the BBC over recent years." The report went on to say that "documents show that the BBC’s senior management has, over many years, accepted money from the EU and its institutions in exchange for which they have enforced an editorial policy of positive support of the EU, contrary to both the spirit and the letter of the charter."

That was in 2007, but today the issue is raised again. In a report at PressTV today the headline is "BBC spoils impartiality for EU grants", and the story shows how not only was nothing done about it back in 2007, but it's still going on and the BBC are even deeper in cahoots with the unelected, undemocratic regime, and raises fresh fears that the BBC is part of the plot to destroy Britain's sovereignty and sell us all down the river to Brussels.

Todays article states "The BBC World Service Trust, the corporation's little-known international development arm, has received £15.5 million in EU grants since 2007 to help boost its global brand and employ hundreds of staff in London and overseas.

"The so-called charity, whose operations remain secret, has employed 600 staff with an annual budget of £28 million. It even owns a broadcasting company in Iraq.

"The fact that the Trust is helping with EU projects has raised serious questions over BBC impartiality."

UKIP's Deputy Leader Paul Nuttall says “By accepting money from the EU in any way, the BBC compromises its neutrality on the most important issue facing this country: our membership of that organization” .
